SUMMARY:Schumann's salon for Valentine's Day
DESCRIPTION:In the spring of 1841\, Robert Schumann wrote euphorically in h
is marriage diary: ‘The idea of publishing a book of songs with Clara ha
s inspired me to work.’ The newlyweds soon dedicated themselves to setti
ng twelve poems from Friedrich Rückert's ‘Liebesfrühling’ to music.\
n\nWhile Robert puts his musical contribution down on paper in a very shor
t time\, Clara does not succeed so easily. Disillusioned\, she notes: ‘I
have no talent for composition at all!’ Robert encourages his wife not
to despair of this task. What a luck for us!\n\nExperience the song cycle
‘Liebesfrühling’ at its place of origin and learn more about the chal
lenges of the first years of marriage that Robert and Clara Schumann spent
  in Inselstraße.\n\nFranziska Hiller | soprano\nAnja Kleinmichel | piano\

so available at Musikalienhandlung M. Oelsner.\n\nPlease collect reserved
