In the spirit of Clara and Robert Schumann, the Schumann House offers young artists a stage. In the “Podium” concert series, students from the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Leipzig University of Music and Theater introduce themselves. Robert was one of the first teachers at the conservatory founded by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, and Clara also taught there for a short time until the artist couple moved to Dresden.
