True to the spirit of Clara and Robert Schumann, the Schumann House offers a stage to young artists. The "Podium" concert series showcases students from the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theatre Leipzig. Robert was among the first teachers at the conservatory founded by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, and Clara also taught there briefly before the artist couple moved to Dresden.
